The Cape Point Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Reserve is a full wine with great levels of complexity. The grapes for this wine are selected on the vines of 3 distinct vineyard parcels on Cape Point Vineyards’ Noordhoek Estate.
Additional levels of interest are added in the final blend by including percentages of Semillon and barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc. Released 14 months after vintage, this wine will continue to develop and improve for many years. The nose shows delicate floral elements, grapefruit, stone-fruit and limes along with subtle wood spice, following through to a rich textured palate held together by an incredible mineral backbone. The wine shows great structure and will develop incredibly well over the next 10 years.
Sauvignon Blanc Vintages
Platter Description: ★★★★ ½
Compelling 10 is riper & fuller than herbaceous 09. Rich, creamy texture from full oak does not detract from focused passionfruit & citrus fruit. Splash Semillon adds extra zest. Mouthfilling with good length.
