We at Cape Point Vineyards firmly believe that good corporate governance requires a holistic view of the business function within a broader scope that includes our local environment, and of course our local community.
The CPV Sustainability Initiative encourages the treatment of human and natural resources as one would treat financial resources.

As such Cape Point Vineyards has undertaken to care for our community by:

• Maintaining our sustainable approach to farming.
• Conserving over 50ha of Fynbos on our Estates (BWI Member).
• Saving empty bottles from our tasting room for re-use.
• Investing in the leaders of tomorrow as a main sponsor of the Partnership Foundation’s Leadership in Action Program.
• Paying the school fees for the children of all of our permanent labourers.

Over the past years we have donated over R2.5 million to the Valley Development Program, an initiative that with the help of Cape Point Vineyards has ensured that over 2000 children and youth have had access to a balanced meal each day. Now, as part of the CPV Sustainability Initiative, we have decided to launch the CPV Sustainability Fund. Funded through a R1 donation for each bottle of Splattered Toad Sauvignon Blanc sold, the fund will:

• Donate approximately R35 000 to the Western Leopard Toad Committee over the next year. These funds will be used to erect educational signage throughout the Western Leopard Toad’s homeland.
• Donate additional funds to other identified community projects within the Cape Peninsula area.

Please assist our initiative by returning empty CPV wine bottles to our tasting room on your next visit, or by supporting the initiatives below.
